In 2003 the I-JK governing for England and Wales launched one of the most important policies, partly in response to the demolition of Victoria Climbie, in relation to children and childrens serve.It was produced as a result of a review of children and young peoples services, it had two main findings one was for all services to work together and share information and it identified five positive outcomes for children and young people. As a practitioner working with children I am aware that the upport I give the children to achieve the five positive outcomes is of the essence(p) in their development.Be anicteric Physically healthy Mentally and emotionally healthy Sexually healthy Healthy lifestyles Choose not to take ineligible drugs Parents, carers and families promote healthy choices Stay safe Safe from maltreatment, neglect, violence and internal exploitation Safe from accidental injury and death Safe from blusterous and discrimination Safe from crime and anti- fond behaviour in and out of shoal Have security, stability and are cared for Parents, carers and families provide safe homes and stability have it away and achieve Ready for schoolAttend and enjoy school Achieve stretching bailiwick educational standards at primary school Achieve personal and social development and enjoy recreation Achieve stretching national educational standards at secondary school Parents, carers and families support learning Make a positive contribution Engage in decision-making and support the community And environment Engage in law-abiding and positive behaviour in and out of school Develop positive relationships and choose not to bully and steal Develop selt-contldence and successtully deal witn signitlcant lite Changes and challenges Develop enterprising behaviour
